The Ritzy Kids Announce Debut Album High Side of Town, Out April 18

Australian pop punk outfit THE RITZY KIDS are set to release their highly anticipated debut album, High Side of Town, on April 18.

Bursting with high-energy singalongs and infectious melodies, the album is a deeply personal collection of songs.

"Our debut really is a mixed bag," singer Sean Frazer shares. "There are songs about mates who’ve passed away, mental struggles, relationships, moving away, and getting older. I guess it’s a snapshot of the things we all face growing up—and a reflection of overcoming it all."

Expanding their sonic palette, High Side of Town sees the band incorporating synths, piano, and experimental textures, setting it apart from anything they’ve done before.

"This is our best music to date. It’s a true reflection of us as a band right now—it feels like the start of something really special."

The album was self-produced by the band, recorded between Ignite Studios in Sydney and their own Central Coast recording space. To bring it all together, they enlisted Luca Incerti of Italian pop punk band WEL, who mixed and mastered the record, giving it a polished international sound.

High Side of Town arrives on the heels of The Ritzy Kids’ first East Coast Australian tour, where they introduced new songs to fresh crowds in Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne.
